Questions UJ students ask
- Do you take NSFAS-funded UJ students?
- Yes. Our residences meet the Department of Higher Education and Training's norms and standards for student housing, and NSFAS-funded students live with us at every site. Choose NSFAS as your funding on the form; a reference number helps but is not needed to apply.
- When do 2027 applications close?
- The 2027 intake closes on 31 March 2027. Rooms are allocated as applications are approved, so earlier is better.
- What do I need to apply?
- Your ID or passport number, a cellphone number, and — if someone else pays — their name and contact details. Nothing is paid to apply.
